Legislative Aide's Comments and announcements:
Marilyn Mirrasoul from Valerie Stallings' office commented in the update of Linda
Vista issues. City Council office included Linda Vista to be in one of the
developmental areas that are being considered.
Police Dept: A representative from the police department answered citizens' concern about retaliation to them if they are involved with reporting of crimes. Citizens were assured it is very safe to do so and they were encouraged to work with the police.
Public Comments:
Grover Diemert of Bayside updated the committee of the coming events at Bayside.
Jo-Ann Carini asked for motion on the approval of the Committee in planting trees (Tipawana trees) at new Genesee lot near the 163 freeway onramp. It was voted and passed by the committee.
Charles Johnson announced his resignation from the Committee and the committee thanked him for his dedication in the past years. He will be greatly missed.
Treasurer Report: Margaret Brown reported the committee has $174.46
Presention by Sheila Harder of the Center City Development Corporation, of the
Thaira Hammi of the City of San Diego Water and Wastewater Facilities Division talked about the installation of new water and sewer mains in Linda Vista. Some citizens were concerned about the inconvenience to their daily commuting. Chair recommended forming a sub-committee to look into that matter.

Update of revised Linda Vista community Plan - Chair asked for an October 19th meeting in regards to that matter in the Linda Vista library at 7p.m. an all members of the Committee agreed.
Presentation by Flocke and Avoyer Development Company, of the proposed commercial development project at the corner of Friars Road and Ulric St.
Traffic light signalization in the Linda Vista community - Charles Johnson asked for a traffic signal light to be put at a location where there have been far too many accidents. Ron Tomcek asked for a motion, seconded by Doug Beckham
