Public Comment: Chair announced the purpose of this meeting is to discuss the issues of the update of the Linda Vista Community Plan Doug Beckham commented on the success of the Linda Vista clean-up day and thank Mike O'Brien and daughters plus many others who helped that day. There were 43-1/4 ton of trash hauled away that day.
Volunteers are needed to put up flags for the November 11 holiday (Vet. Day).
Jo-Ann thanked the USD students who took the time to paint the south side fence
of the Holy Family School at Tait St. and Ulric.
Linda Vista Community Plan Update:
Miriam Kirschner - There were few things that need to be changed before the final
copy is published.
Pat Buckmaster made a motion to leave all areas of number 5, page 61,(in Linda Vista Community Plan), and to list all areas as stated on figure 9, page 34 into number 5, page 61. It was seconded by Doug Beckham. It was then voted and results - 5 approved, 3 disapproved, 1 abstained
Another motion was made to take out discretionary review in Silver Terrace Area, by Mel McKay. It was seconded by Adrian Marine. It was then voted and the result was - 6 approved, 2 disapproved, 1 abstained.
Mesa College - Motion was made by Ron Tomcek to retain the number 1 & 2 paragraphs from article number 1 in page 95 of the Linda Vista Community Plan book but delete paragraph number 3 from article number 2 which also in page 95. It was seconded by Jim Horsley. It was then voted and the result was - 3 approved, 5 disapproved, 1 abstained.
