Draft of Minutes of March 25, 2002 of the Linda Vista Planning Committee that met at Linda Vista Library at 7 p.m. 

Call to Order by Ed Cramer at 7:05 p.m.
Presentation of Colors and Pledge of Allegiance was performed by Linda Vista's Cub Scout Den #1 led by Den leader Ken van Winkle.  Thanks 

Roll call was conducted by Xiong Thao due to absence of Secretary Grover Diemert.  All were present except Grover Diemert, Julie Duenez and Ron Tomcek who were excused.
There were 55 people in attendance. 

Request to add PAC BELL to agenda concerning updating of their central office at 7847 Linda Vista Road. Request was granted. 

Government Aides report:  Nicole Capretz from District 6 passed out latest updates on traffic engineering efforts. It is filed with Secretary. 

Mike Rodriques from Park and Rec. informed group of meeting on April 9 where turfing of Carson project will be discussed 

Officer Borders reported on success in arresting 5 taggers at Kelly Street Park. No tagging since then. 

Election of members from Census Tracts 90, 89:01 and 87.01 was conducted by Wayne Bamford.  He nominated Greg Edwards and Janice Richman from 89.01 and Grover Diemert from 90.00
Nominations were closed as there were none from the floor.  The members were elected by acclimation. 

Robert Albrecht and Aide presented the Housing Dept's 2003 Action Plan for Community Development and an overview of the San Diego Housing Trust Fund.  Copies are on file with Secretary. 

PAC BELL report on planned addition at 7847 Linda Vista Road. Mr. Stephen Slater at 818-222-8511 presented drawings.  There will need to be a CUP so no action can be taken until formal request is announced for a Planning Committee Meeting. 

Ed Cramer signed a form indicating that the Committee voted 13-0-0 for the USD Alumni Project. 

The Tape recorder did not pick up information after Wayne Bamford, Gail Cole and Jo-Ann Carini made their reports  

[Inclusion from Wayne Bamford:] USD Affairs report was given by Pamela Gray-Payton (USD) and Wayne Bamford (Committee Chair). Approval of Lower West Marian Way Parking Structure by San Diego Planning Commission, San Diego City Council, USD and Community Members.

Minutes of Jan. and February meeting were approved with following changes: Ron Tomcek requested that documentation about effects of Lead based paint.  He requested statistics showing how many children have been affected by lead poisoning of any kind in Linda Vista rather than San Diego. 

Corrected identification of Census tracts
Correct tracts are 90.00, 89.01 and 87.01
Traffic Committee: 

Doug Beckham made a motion to approve installation of traffic light at Alcala Knolls if Francis Parker School pays for the cost. Wayne seconded the motion passed with no opposition or abstentions.
The proposed light at Goshen and Linda Vista is now #1 on our list and the light at Glidden is # 2. 

May meeting will be on May 20 due to Memorial Day the following Monday.
