Vice Chair, Don Wetzel at 7:05 p.m, called meeting to order.

Kearny High School’s Junior ROTC Color Guard Unit performed presentation of colors and Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll call was conducted all were present except Julie Duenez, who is resigning due to ill health, Rick Bussell, who was excused to attend the City Council Hearings, Ed Crammer, excused

Letter from Secretary, Grover Diemert was presented that informed the Committee that James Horsley had missed 3 of the last 6 meetings. Thus a vacancy was declared.
A letter from Julie Duenez was received, which stated that she was resigning from the committee due to poor health.

Wayne Bamford made a motion to nominate Ron Tomcek as a replacement for Julie Duenez to the Committee. Gary Stang seconded the motion. Motion passed with only one abstention.

North Bay Redevelopment Representative:
Wayne Bamford nominated Gail Cole as the Linda Vista Planning Committee voting representative to the North Bay Redevelopment Committee. Janice Richmond seconded the motion. Motion passed with one in opposition.

Officer Deborah Borders gave the police report

Kevin Smith from Donna Frye’s office reported that red curbs are being repainted and that the Silver Terrace Park bids were $100,000 over budget.

Donna Frye will not hold be available at Bayside Community Center on the third Friday in October

Issues raised:

Main Presentation:
“Old Town” SDG&E Substation Perimeter Fencing and Renovation:
Mark Choymn from Sempra Energy. A sub committee will meet at the Substation at 6 p.m. on September 27th to review plans for landscaping etc.

Committee reports were presented.

Gail Cole made a motion, seconded by Wayne Bamford that the time and place of all subcommittees be listed in the mailed out agenda. After much discussion Grover Diemert made a motion to table the motion as the agenda is the responsibility of the Chair. Roy Hughes seconded motion to table. It passed with one in opposition.

Minutes of last meeting were approved with one correction. In the committee reports on the Humane Society was reported to have obtained a CUP. It should read that there was C.U.P hearing and there was an objection.
