Meeting called to order by Chair Ed Cramer at 7 pm
Presentation of Colors by Scout Troop from Peace Lutheran Church Troop 278
Role call with 11 present with Don Wetzel, Ester McNulty, Rob Spahitz, Greg Edwards, Liliani Stiffler, Janis Richmond as excused absences.
Kevin Smith reported from Donna Frye’s office and gave Graffiti Taskforce Number 858-573-5049
Congresswoman Susan Davis gave a report on her activities in Washington and took questions from the group.
Cecilia Williams from planning department reported that the SDG&E Storage yard on Gaines St cannot be a permanent storage yard. Research is continuing.
Mini cleanup was held last week. 43.5 tons of trash were hauled out of the community.
Action Items:
6677 Comstock CT Variance. Don Ballantyne moved that the variance be denied. It was seconded by Ron Tomcek. Variance was denied by a vote of 11 to 0
Garden Terraces Project 5970 Mildred Street: Don Ballantyne moved to approve the project if it follows city requirements. Ron Tomcek seconded the motion. It passed 11 to 0
Map Waiver for 5170 Savannah Street: Don Ballantyne moved to approve the map waiver. It was seconded by Doug Beckham. Motion passed 11 to 0
Canyon Sewer Cleaning Project was not discussed due to lack of information.
Ed Cramer requested that all members review and correct the Public Facilities Finance Plan that was distributed by Marco Camacho at last meeting. There will be a special meeting to gather everyone’s responses.
Sept 11, 2003 will be planning commission meeting on the Morena Vista Project at City Commission Room.
Various committees made reports
Rick Bussell moved to accept minutes of the meeting with necessary corrections, seconded by Doug Beckham. Passes with no opposition
