Minutes of May 24^th 2004

Call to Order:  7pm -  Presentation of Colors and Pledge of Allegiance performed – Kearny High School Army Junior ROTC Color Guard Unit.

Roll Call:  Chair was absent and excused, Don Wetzel filled in for the Chair. Members present:   Rick Bussell, ,Wayne Bamford, Xiongh Thao, Margarita Castro, Janis Richmond, Ron Tomceck Gary Stang, Jo Ann Carini, Liliani Stiffler, Doug Beckham, Gail Cole, Sandy Duncan. Total attendance: 35 

Western division Police Department:  Debbie Borders was present updating and answering questions.

Government Aides’ Reports: 

Kevin Smith of Donna Frye’s office passed out a schedule for budget hearings.

Seth Litchney of Mayor Dick Murphy’s office is moving to district 2.

Election of officers:  conducted by Ron Tomceck

All existing officers were reelected for the year, 2004/2005.  Ed Cramer, Chair, Don Wetzel, Vice-Chair, Gail Cole, Treasurer, Liliani Stiffler, Secretary.

Main Presentation: 

San Diego County Tax Bills:  Dan McAllister, Treasurer-Tax Collector – led a discussion for improvement of County Tax Bill’s. There was much discussion on the issue.

Public Comments:  Concerned residents Bob Gonzales and his wife Rose - parking problems at Savage Ct. and Ulric, an overflow from the apartment complex across the street. 

Action Items:

2205 Judson St & 2287 Dunlop St. – Tentative Map Process (Process 4) approval – motion by Wayne Bamford – 2^nd  by Ron Tomcek – both projects were approved upon the condition that they meet all City requirements of permits and zoning.  9 approved, 2 opposed
