Minutes of the Linda Vista Planning Committee
August 23, 2004
Chair, Ed Cramer called meeting to order at 7:03 pm on August 23, 2004
Roll call by Acting Secretary, Grover Diemert, All present except Lilliani Stiffler, Gary Stang, Excused and Jo Anne Carini Excused
Sara Creighton, the new captain for Western Division of Police Department introduced herself. Phone is 619-692-4810
Fire Dept. Captain Pollard introduced himself and indicated that someone from Battalion 2 would attend meetings in future.
Donna Ascano from Mayor’s office re-introduced herself as LV Rep.
Libby Day announced that the Katz report will be available on September 13 at 6 pm at the LV Library. She also reported that she will soon begin working with the group of volunteer committee members (Bamford, Beckham, Carini, Cramer McNulty and Stang) to facilitate implementing the Linda Vista Housing Rehabilitation Program and welcomes additional members.
USD School
of Education presentation was made by Tom Cleary and crew.
Action Item. Motion to approve the plans for USD
School of Education was made by
Doug Beckham, and seconded by Janis Richmond. Motion passed with no dissent or abstentions. (15 yes, 0 No).
Committee reports:
Chair’s report: Sandag will be invited to make a presentation in Oct.
Mission Bay Park committee asked for an accounting of money used to maintain the park.
Open Space and Tecolote: Maps are being drawn up concerning sewer line relocations and the Tecolote Canyon Nature Center remodeling project will be complete by October 1, 2004
Approval of June Minutes: Doug Beckham moved to approve them and Ester McNulty seconded the motion to approve the minutes. Passed
Approval of July Minutes: Doug Beckham moved to accept and Roy Hughes seconded the motion. Minutes were approved.
