Gang Presentation was canceled
Libby Day reported on the applications for housing money from the Linda Vista Redevelopment area. 10 applications are in process, 28 on waiting list.
Election for a representative to the North Bay
Redevelopment area:
Roy Hughes moved to nominate Gale Cole, Sandy Duncan
seconded motion. Nomination was 16
to 0 in favor. She is delegated to
cast a vote for the Linda Vista Planning Committee at the North Bay
Redevelopment meetings
City Link Project: Jared Bradley provided an update on the Morena Vista project.
Environmental Justice Grant: Grover Diemert requested a letter of support for an environmental justice grant that Bayside is submitting to CALTRANS. Motions to have Chair write such letter was made by Rick Bussell, seconded by Xiongh Thao. 14 for, 1 opposed and Diemert recused himself

Their architect presented the latest plans.
The Church has obtained adequate parking and is awaiting final approval
of plans by the city.
Greg Edwards moved to approve the project contingent on the City Planning Dept approval. Seconded by Don Wetzel. After much discussion there was a call for the question which failed on a vote of 8 for and 5 opposed. Motion needed two/thirds majority. So it failed.
Motion was made to table the issue until required documents are provided to the LV Planning Committee for review. Rick Bussell made the motion and Rob Spahitz seconded the motion to table. All voted in favor of the motion.
Tait Street Tentative Map Waiver for 6704 Tait Street . Don Ballantyne made motion to reaffirm our previous support for project. Rick Bussell seconded the motion. All voted in favor of approval.
Traffic Hazard on Morena Blvd and Linda Vista road merge was reported. The issue was sent to Traffic Committee for study and to make recommendations.
Committee reports:
Wm Lyons project on University of San Diego High School site is now 529 units with affordable units included.
The three issues concerning Mesa College Master plan for parking structure was delegated to the Traffic Committee.
Discussion on the extension of lease on the Islandia Hotel, no action
Discussion on North Bay Redevelopment’s recommendation that it become an independent agency, no action.
New person in charge of area parks –
Recommendation of a 4 way stop sign at Savanna and Buena was made by Doug Beckham and seconded by Rick Bussell. All agreed with the recommendation
Motion to adjourn at
