Linda Vista Planning Committee meeting November 28, 2005

Meeting called to order by Vice Chair Don Wetzel at 6:05

Presentation of colors by Kearny High ROTC

Roll call: all present except Ed Cramer, Ron Tomcek, Jo Anne Carini and Roy Hughes

A quorum was declared

Doug Beckham made a motion that a presentation of Bus Service realignment by MTS be added to the agenda.  Rob Spahitz seconded the motion. It passed with no dissent

Representatives from Susan Davis’s, Council member Donna Frye made announcements

Libby Day announced that the temporary Skate World Lease is being extended by 1 year to facilitate the development of a long term lease and that the RFP (Request for Proposal) for the empty lot next to Skate world on the corner of Comstock and Linda Vista Road will be released in December

Cecilia Williams reminded us that all members had to attend the COW Community Workshop.

MTS Presentation:

Conan Cheung and Dennis Desmond presented a power point description of why and how MTS is realigning their bus system.  Their hot line number is 619-595-3711 email is cao@sdmts.com.

After much discussion about the change of bus line # 25 it was decided to hold a special meeting for the community at Bayside Community Center on December 12 at 6:30 pm.

Lauretta St Four-plex:  Marty Jones  presented preliminary concepts for a 4 plex at 5968 Lauretta Street.  No action taken as plans have not been submitted to Planning Dept.

No presentation on Ulric Sewer update
No new information on Second Baptist Church
No presentation on Riley Street conversion at 5760 Riley St. 

Committee reports were non existent or very short. 

Minutes of October meeting were approved by all.

There will be no meeting in December 2005.
