Main Presentation

Annual Election of Committee Members.  Ron Tomcek, Election Committee Chair.  Eligibility for this election of seven (7) positions is by census tract. A second election will be held at the April 24, 2006 meeting to fill any unfilled positions.  The election of officers will be held at the May 22, 2006 meeting.  The March 27, 2006 and April 24, 2006 elections are open to the public of Linda Vista.  The election of officers in May is voted upon solely by committee members. Park Mesa Canyon Redirection of Flow (ROF).  The ROF Study examined the financial and technical feasibility of moving sewer pipes out of the canyon and into city streets.  The Park Mesa Canyon area is located south of Kearny High School and northwest of Chesterton.  The current sewer line runs directly down the canyon.  Khoa Dao, Asst. Manning Canyon Sewer Upgrade.  Manning Canyon is a small canyon running southwesterly into Tecolote Canyon from Manning and Preece Streets.  This sewer upgrade is being evaluated as part of the Canyon Sewer Program, initiated by City Council Policies 400-13 and 400-14.  The programs goal is to protect and improve sewer infrastructure while minimizing impacts to sensitive canyon resources.  Farid Sadeghipour, Assoc. Otay-Metro Powerloop Project.  This project is capable of delivering enough electricity to supply over 500,000 homes.  Approximately 10 miles of this new line will be placed underground, connecting National City with the Old Town Sub Station.  The presentation will include information on the project schedule and construction timing.  J.
