Minutes of Linda Vista Planning Committee
July 23, 2007

Meeting was called to order by Chair Rick Bussel at 6 pm. California State Honor Guard presented the colors Roll call was conducted with the following people absent: Tom Cleary, Gary Stang and Ron Tomcek. A quorum was declared. 31 people were present.

Scott Spillane from the San Diego Police Dept answered questions, Katherine Fortner from Rep. Susan Davis discussed latest news from Washington, and Brain Schoenfisch passed out latest timeline for the revision of the General Plan for the City.

Action # 1:
Doug Beckham presented a letter to be signed by the chair to be sent to Councilmember Maienscheien thanking him for his efforts to reduce gang graffiti and gang violence. Doug Beckham made the motion to approve the letter with typographical errors corrected and Wayne Bamford Seconded the motion. All voted in favor of the motion.

Action # 2:
Margarita Castro made a motion to that the Chair send a letter to the Linda Vista Mobile Park Homeowners Association supporting their efforts at obtaining control of the land on which their mobile homes sit. Donna Erickson seconded the motion. All voted in favor of the motion

Action #3 was not acted upon.

Dr Wendy Ranck-Buhr from the San Diego Cooperative Charter School gave an overview of their charter school that will be operating at the San Diego City School site of the Linda Vista Elementary Annex beginning this fall.

Secretary Grover Diemert left the meeting at 7:40 pm.
