Linda Vista Community Planning Committee

Approved Minutes For October 22, 2007 Meeting

BECAUSE OF THE WILDFIRES THERE WAS NOT A QUORUM
NO ACTION ITEMS WERE HEARD

Rick Bussell, Chair, called the meeting to order at 6:15p.m. There was talk about adjourning but since there were several guests present to give information, Bussell made a determination that the meeting would continue without discussion of the Action Items.

There was no Presentation of Colors or Flag Salute. Roll was called and the following Board members were present: Beckham, Bussell, Corley, Duncan, Erickson, Hughes, P erwin, Shannon, and Wilson who had to leave early for a VFW meeting. Members absent included Ammerman, Bamford, Buckmaster, Carini, Castro, Cleary, Diemert, Morgen, Spahitz, Stang,
Guests: Sheila Hardin and Nancy Graham from CCDC, Leigh and Gerry Hark from Metro Wine, and Gail Cole.

Hardin introduced her boss, Nancy Graham, President of CCDC, who spoke about her goals for the Center City/Downtown area. She also shared about her teen years in Linda Vista.

The couple from Metro Wine, Leigh and Gerry Hark, introduced themselves and asked for the planning group’s support in their wine storage business.

There was no approval of the September minutes. Erickson announced that the letter to MTS would be sent to SANDAG and MTS from the Transpor- tation Committee instead of the LVCPC. Because both were time sensitive, Donna said she would also send the Bylaws letter to the City from the Bylaws Committee.

The Mesa College Drive amendment would be placed on the November agenda, while the Water Update and City Firefighter items would be rescheduled. The Coolidge Street Easement Vacation project was dropped by the applicant, therefore, no action was needed.

Meeting adjourned at 7:30p.m. with prayers and thoughts of those involved in fighting the fire and those who would suffer losses.

Respectfully submitted by Bussell, Beckham, Erickson
