Next meeting is one week early, on May 21 Linda Vista Park and Recreation Budget Review Hearing - Wed. May 2, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in City Council Chambers. An opportunity for Linda Vistans to speak up for their share of the dollars about their Park and Rec. operations.

Main Presentation

Annual Election of Committee Members – At Large. Election to fill 5 vacancies which existed following the March 26, 2007 election by census tract. Wayne Bamford, Election Committee Chair  (15 minutes) Action Item.

Community Plan Amendment/Rezone/Park Dedication Procedural Update A procedural update in which it is proposed that approximately 6.64 acres of City-owned land is transferred from the Clairemont Mesa Community Planning Area to the Linda Vista Community Planning Area, designated as Open Space, rezoned from RS-1-1(Residential) to OP-2-1(Open Space), and dedicated as Park Land. Concurrent with this process, an additional 7.03 acres of adjacent City-owned land will also be dedicated as Park Land, totalling approximately 13.67 acres of newly dedicated Park Land. Finally, approximately 0.93 acres of land owned by Mesa College will be transferred from the Linda Vista Community Planning Area to the Clairemont Mesa Community Planning Area and designated as School.
