Linda Vista Planning Group May 18, 2009 Minutes
Meeting opened at 6:05 p.m. by Jeff Perwin, Chair.  The Pledge of Allegiance was said; led by Doug Beckham.
Members present:  Beckham, Bussell, Carini, Castro, Cleary, Cole, Corley, Duncan, McNulty, Morgen, Perwin, Riquelme, Spahitz, and Tomcek
Members absent:  Hughes, Rodriquez, Shannon, and Wilson
By 6:30 p.m. 14 Board members were present.  Total people present:  23.

A few words in memory of Wayne Bamford were said by Jeff Perwin.
<Representative Reports>
Police Department:  Graffiti was removed from the wall on Glidden Street.   The person who they thought attacked the woman last month ended up not being the person.  The DNA did not match.
^6:30p.m. Corley and Duncan arrived.

Susan Davis:  Budget hearings and revision is being done on the credit card holder Bill of Rights.   Swine flu testing for California is being conducted.  They are working on a vaccine for Swine flu.  There is expected to be a swine flu problem next year as well.

Chair Report:  Attended the CPC meeting.  Parking meter issue was discussed.

Minutes approved:
April:  Motion Beckham, 2nd Bussell Vote:  unanimous. Three abstentions:  Riquelme, Tomcek, and Spahitz.  They were not at the meeting.
March:  Motion Bussell, 2nd Beckham

LVCMAD Elections will be held in June.

Fourth Implementation Plan for Linda Vista Redevelopment Plan.  This plan is for 5 years.  It will go until 2012.  This plan will require a mid term review, two and a half years into the plan.  The hearing on this matter will be June 9th in the afternoon after 2:00 p.m.  There is only specific information the Housing and Community Development requires.

A motion was made to deny implementation of the plan due incomplete information.  Vital financial data was not provided.   The amount and source of debt not included in the plan presented to the board.  Motion Beckham, 2nd Bussell.  Vote:  12-1 Riquelme -- conforms to directions given to staff.  Jeff Perwin and Doug Beckham will attend the Redevelopment Agency meeting.

INFORMATION ITEMS
Wayne Bamford’s Memorial will be held at Bayside Community Center, Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 6:00 p.m.

Margarita will call code compliance regarding the storage of wrecks in the lot on Morena Blvd.
