Meeting was called to order at
6:00 p.m.

City Representative Reports
Donna Frye’s office: Frye Lights was distributed and Water Conservation information was made available. Water conservation was his main topic. We are at a Level 2 drought alert. We are give specific days to water landscape. More information is available at:

Lori Saldana’s office: The Saldana Sun was distributed. The budget deficit was discussed. Vote will be on Wednesday. New representative will be Eddie Meyer.
Susan Davis’ office: The Davis Dispatch was distributed. Healthcare reform is being worked on.
Lowell Waxman, the Linda Vista Librarian will be retiring this summer.
Bayside announced their Bayside Showcase and open house.
CDCC: Joyce Senter made available the 2009 Downtown Living Guide. There will be movies at the Park (PetcoPark). The
Civic Center
will be updated. 17.4 million is being given to update where the cruise ships anchor. The parking at the bayside of the Embarcadero will be removed.
Wayne Bamford memorial pictures were distributed.
There are now 3 vacancies on the LVPG board.
COW attendance is required by all new board members to be indemnified. The City is going to re-evaluate the Brown Act as it pertains to Planning Groups.
Information Items
1. Manager of the new 96c and Up Store, Huy Trieu told the group that the store is in the final inspection stage and is anticipated to open mid-July. The fence should be down by the end of the week, but the parking lot needs to be finished. The Recycling Business is also one that he is managing.
2. Group Job 909 – Bobak Madgeti is the Project Engineer for the project. The water infrastructure will be improved in the Northwest area of Linda Vista. The existing cast iron pipe will be replaced with pvc pipe that has a wider diameter. The water line will also have greater separation from the sewer line. The plan is for this project to start in the summer of 2010 and should be finished by the summer of 2011. Curb ramps will be upgraded or if there isn’t a curb ramp one will be built. Notification to the residents impacted by this project will be done through the mail and door hanger notices. A map will be provided of the project area.

1. Linda Vista Maintenance Assessment District Elections
Nominees: Margarita Castro, Kathleen Morgen, and Ron Tomcek.
A motion was made to close nominations by Beckham, 2nd by Castro.
Vote unanimous in favor.
A motion was made to elect Castro, Morgen and Tomcek to the LVCMAD.
Vote unanimous in favor.
Committee reports
Zoning: Advantage Towing application was withdrawn and the applicant will not be reapplying to have their business on
Morena
Blvd.
Mission Bay
/ Sea World: There are plans to change the Dolphin Show stadium. There is an aquaculture project located 5 miles offshore. Their plan is to reintroduce native species such as the White Sea Bass and the
California
tuna to our waters. The project will have the fish at 300 ft. There is no biohazard issue at this depth and distance from shore. The long range hope is for the commercial fisherman to manage this project.
Ad hoc committee for learning more about the Redevelopment Agency and Historical Information about Linda Vista is still in effect.
